Q. What are the advantages of building with steel?
A.
Steel is light and strong, does not burn, is termite and borer proof and is dimensionally stable - it will not shrink or warp. Using steel is also environmentally responsible. Walls and ceilings tend not to have ripples or bumps in them, there are no "nail pops" in plasterboard walls, no shrinkage in floor framing and no sagging roofs.

Q: Can I make changes to your designs, or design my own home?
A.
Yes. Statewide Constructions manufacture all frames and trusses in our own manufacturing plant and have a computerised CAD drawing and design program, it is very simple for you to make alterations to our designs. We can also take your own plans or sketch and create an individual, cost effective ready to assemble home for you.

Q. Can I purchase a fully completed Statewide home?
A.
Yes. Our modular homes can be supplied as fully completed buildings or to lockup only. Our staff can help you with design and quality inclusions. With our ready to assemble homes, we use and recommend tradespeople and builders that will assist you to assemble and complete your home.

Q: How do I pay for my Statewide home?
A.
For our ready to assemble homes we require a $1,500 drafting deposit for working drawings and engineering documentation (this in included in our quoted price), 20% payment prior to manufacturing your home, with the balance payable prior to delivery.

Q: How do I pay for my Statewide Carport, Garage or Machinery Shed?
A.
For our ready to assemble Carports, Garages and Machinery Sheds we require a $300 drafting deposit for working drawings and engineering documentation (this in included in our quoted price), 30% payment prior to manufacturing your building, with the balance payable prior to delivery.

Q: Are there any other costs involved in getting my Statewide Ready To Assemble Home to my building site?
A.
Our ready to assemble prices include delivery to any building site in mainland Tasmania. For customers in other states of Australia additional freight and transport insurance will be required.

Q: Are there any other costs involved in getting my Statewide Modular Home to my building site?
A.
Yes. We use and recommend transport companies that will assist you with getting your new modular home delivered and installed on your site. Costs will vary according to the distance to travel and the accessibility of your building site.

Q: How long does it take to manufacture my Statewide Home?
A.
Whether a ready to assemble home or modular home, we will commence your structural drawings after receipt of your drafting deposit. We will require the levels of your site to enable the floor system to be designed and engineer approved. Your plans are then ready for submission to Council. When manufacturing begins, you can expect delivery in 8-10 weeks – a delivery date will be confirmed at the time of signing and approving your home for construction.

Q: How long does it take to Assemble my Statewide Home?
A. Depending on the size of the building, your new ready to assemble can be built to lockup in a little over one week.

Q: How long after delivery before I move into my Statewide Modular Home?
A.
For a single self contained modular unit, only one or two days required to connect up waste water, water and power. For multiple modules the additional time to assemble home or modular home, we will commence your structural drawings after receipt of your drafting deposit.

Q: Can I arrange Finance to build a Statewide Ready To Assemble Home?
A.
Yes. If you use an approved builder to build your Statewide Kit Home finance can be readily obtained. As an owner builder, we can recommend consultants who have financed owner built homes.
